My name is Bonolo Marcia Phuku. I reside in Johannesburg, South Africa. When I started this blog in late '11, the intention was to simply document my days in this wonderful city. Fashion blogs out there are trendy but aren’t focused on growing closets in a sensible way. My blog is! Fashionable pieces aren't always stylish. That's why I prefer things that are aesthetically pleasing, whether they are in fashion or not. My style is; simple, preppy, classic and puts comfort first. This section is in celebration of the living art of femininity. A section for modern day aesthetes, and for if you're a lady and would like to stay one!


Style and Beauty go hand in hand for me, so its no wonder that the one precedes the other here. I am such an addict! This all started early on when I would get pocket money and spend it all on Oh So Heavenly products and bring home one hell of a haul. Little did I know then that this would be a major thing leading up to weekly twitter parties: #bbloggers and Youtube success for some. Until such a time when I will be joining the tube, find out all about my beauty product faves which are luxe or from the drugstore. Like I said, I like all things aesthetically pleasing and the decor section is no different. I share with your decor tips to turn any odd condo into a Top Billingesque home. Making small spaces look big, organizing and storing away home items in a creative way is my niche.

This section will interest expatriates who find themselves in sea-less Johannesburg, or even the good old J'Burgers that wish to make the most of South Africa's hottest spot to be at. I'll list the city's hot-spots, secret fun locations that may be well in view but unexplored for many of you. I've been to all these places, so rest assured that you are getting information from someone with firsthand experience. Plus, for those who fear this crime ridden region...I'm all too willing to open your eyes to the beauty of our city! Johannesburg isn't a scary place. Just practice caution and mind your instincts! I'm always exploring the ins and outs of the city that pro-South African blogs don't explore. I want to introduce people from all over to life in South Africa as a South African sees it. So that you may determine for yourself how you'd experience Johannesburg if they you were to decide to come live here.
