Revlon’s Kiss Cushion Lip Tints

Revlon released 10 of their most lustrous shades just about over a month ago. These lippies live up to their hype. Retailing at about R140 a pop, you’re guaranteed to turn heads and have hunks cross the room for you with one of these lippies on. Application is superb with a pigmented finish which looks natural.

I first came across one of these lippies in my aunts make up case. I take the credit for her love of makeup since she loved how I would do my face and always requested I make her up. Since we don’t live close enough to one another, she has learnt from YouTube how to do it herself. So she’s now always buying the latest and the greatest beauty products and she’s the one teaching me new things. How things have changed... Anyway, I fell in love with the lippie at first swatch and went to clicks to see if they had more and they had 9 more creamy shades. I can’t rave about these enough! I know the content is late since Revlon is done and dusted with this range and is focusing on other product launches now, but if you haven’t tried these out please don’t start sleeping on yourself now. These lippies are key for any girl looking to level up into a grown woman. Each stick is worth every one of your smart earned pennies!

I search these for you in a video on my YouTube channel. Be sure to watch! I had lots of fun making it for you. Please click subscribe, like, comment which shades you liked and share the video. https://youtu.be/11JdgdY6XuE

Tucking in

Tucking in

Here's a meal guide based on quick and easy comfort foods to try this week. I've been grabbing recipe cards from the PnP near my house - Nicol one. They have a (shisanyama otherwise known as BBQ) theme going. I've been trying out the different recipes, here's how they turned out. Perhaps you could try some as well. They are impressive and made me dance while eating them. Enjoy!

Entrées

Beer bread

Combine flour, dry yeast and grated cheese with coriander & parsley.

♥ Pour your favourite beer into the mixture - I used Miller

Smear oil onto and around the pan to make sure the batter doesn't stick.
I would use butter instead now. That'll sure make it taste way better. Or use non-stick spray so that it comes off clean.

Herbaceous crumbed mushrooms with tomatoes on the vine

For the herbaceous crumbed mushrooms: partner parmesan with breadcrumbs to start. I didn't have store bought breadcrumbs, so I toasted a slice of bread and grated it into the bowl. You could use a food processor instead, if you have one.

Chop up some coriander with parsley: my favourite herbs.

Combine the herbs with the breadcrumbs and parmesan.

To help the mix bond with the mushrooms, add some olive oil.

To make tomatoes on the vine: drizzle olive Popeye's wife on the tomatoes & sprinkle your paprika, dried parsley and garlic with herbs spice on top of this magic that is nature's produce.

Plats Principaux

Moroccan inspired lamb chops spiced to perfection

Use: whole coriander, salt, pepper, cumin, rosemary, worcestershire sauce. Mix in a tablespoon cap of canola or olive oil to make sure it the lamb doesn't stick to the bottom of the grill pan. The cumin and whole coriander the ingredients that add a little bit of Morocco to the grill.

Grilled chicken

I let the chicken sit in Ina Paarman's Lemon Marinade. Teaming the marinade up with; chutney, chicken spice, worcestershire sauce, peri-peri spice and dried mixed herbs.

Potato wedges topped with peppercorn mushroom cheese sauce & tomato gravy
Grilled chicken, with sweet corn on cob and salad
The wedges were grilled independently with steak n chops spice, bbq spice, paprika and salt 'n pepper.

I boiled sweetcorn. Tossed my famous salad-hater-friendly salad. It's depiction in the image above makes it really simple to recreate. I then grilled the chicken pieces just like in the recipe provided above.

Dessert

Chocolate spring rolls

Melt the chocolate in a hot saucepan. Add some nuts and or raisins and whatever else you like to this form.

♥ Let the choc cool down. Once it has, you may put it in the fridge, until it forms a paste like consistency.

Now, mould the chocolate into logs to place into the pastry.

Prep the pastry for the chocolate logs. Fold the pastry with a log places in the middle its diamond shape. Once the pastry has folded over the log, start rolling it over instead. Look above to keep track.

Use oil with a high frying temperature to deep fry the rolls.

 Turn until brown.

Top this joy with strawberries, a drizzle of the chocolate sauce, cream, blueberries or partner with ice-cream to enjoy.

Breakfast is served!

I've discovered this amazing breakfast cereal add (add as in addition) called Future Life (FL for the purposes of this post). Friends, rugby guys and commercials filled me in on it and I eventually got around to trying it. I feel that FL is meant to supplement your meals and not replace them! I cannot emphasise that enough. It is never a good idea to go without fuel for your body, even if you are overweight you still have to eat to keep your glorious gift from God going.

Instead of having Future Life as is, (in powder form with added milk or water), I make a delish smoothie using it as a base. It's become a staple in the pantry. There's something about it that gives you a kick and makes you feel like you are turning into the Hulk, for me that's a great thing! I think it's the moducare that they've put in it?

This recipe is best served in the mornings as breakfast. It helps wake you up, giving you that much needed energy to go about your hectic day. This product is like a multivitamin in meal form. After having this snack I go on to take Centrum multivitamins and Pharmaton tablets for energy, making me totally unstoppable each day. This probably explains why I'm blogging a lot more too... I'm full of energy!

I never used to be one for having cereals because I read an article about how companies were putting agents in cereals to hinder frequent self-servicing from a young age, because that's when we start having cereal and touching ourselves. That got me thinking about other agents are they not telling us about, which they are putting into our food that hinder us from other forms of expression, biological development or even personal growth? Future Life has changed that. So far the feeling I have after having this supplement is too good for me to stop ingesting it. It's totally worth the risk.

Ingredients; FL, milk, water to make the smoothie...smooth, strawberries for their colour, a banana for chunk, apples for crunch and ice for coolness.

Pop these into a blender, and VOILA...
