Tucking in
Here's a meal guide based on quick and easy comfort foods to try this week. I've been grabbing recipe cards from the PnP near my house - Nicol one. They have a (shisanyama otherwise known as BBQ) theme going. I've been trying out the different recipes, here's how they turned out. Perhaps you could try some as well. They are impressive and made me dance while eating them. Enjoy!
♥ Combine flour, dry yeast and grated cheese with coriander & parsley.
♥ Pour your favourite beer into the mixture - I used Miller.
♥ Smear oil onto and around the pan to make sure the batter doesn't stick.
I would use butter instead now. That'll sure make it taste way better. Or use non-stick spray so that it comes off clean.
Herbaceous crumbed mushrooms with tomatoes on the vine
♥ Chop up some coriander with parsley: my favourite herbs.
♥ Combine the herbs with the breadcrumbs and parmesan.
♥ To help the mix bond with the mushrooms, add some olive oil.
Plats Principaux
♥ Use: whole coriander, salt, pepper, cumin, rosemary, worcestershire sauce. Mix in a tablespoon cap of canola or olive oil to make sure it the lamb doesn't stick to the bottom of the grill pan. The cumin and whole coriander the ingredients that add a little bit of Morocco to the grill.
Grilled chicken
♥ I let the chicken sit in Ina Paarman's Lemon Marinade. Teaming the marinade up with; chutney, chicken spice, worcestershire sauce, peri-peri spice and dried mixed herbs.
Potato wedges topped with peppercorn mushroom cheese sauce & tomato gravy
Grilled chicken, with sweet corn on cob and salad

♥ I boiled sweetcorn. Tossed my famous salad-hater-friendly salad. It's depiction in the image above makes it really simple to recreate. I then grilled the chicken pieces just like in the recipe provided above.
Dessert
Chocolate spring rolls
♥ Melt the chocolate in a hot saucepan. Add some nuts and or raisins and whatever else you like to this form.
♥ Let the choc cool down. Once it has, you may put it in the fridge, until it forms a paste like consistency.
♥ Now, mould the chocolate into logs to place into the pastry.
♥ Prep the pastry for the chocolate logs. Fold the pastry with a log places in the middle its diamond shape. Once the pastry has folded over the log, start rolling it over instead. Look above to keep track.
♥ Use oil with a high frying temperature to deep fry the rolls.
♥ Turn until brown.
♥ Top this joy with strawberries, a drizzle of the chocolate sauce, cream, blueberries or partner with ice-cream to enjoy.
Nice to meet you !
