Sorbet's Face Brush

  Face Brushes Worth the Hype?

With so many cosmetics companies releasing face brushes fortnightly since twenty-fit-me, you'd be a fool not to be convinced that you "just have to get your hands on one", but are facial brushes really worth the hype?

My beauty regimen hasn't incorporated luxuries such as masks, tools etc. before - because I'm lazy. So, when I realized that a face brush would do more for me than what my hands could and possibly halve my grooming time, I decided that I had to spoil my gaping pores to one! I came across a plethora of brushes to try, on the internet and in store.

Clinique's Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

Olay's ProX Advanced Cleansing System

True to my bargain princess nature, I gravitated towards Sorbet's offer first. Their products are available for purchase at select Clicks stores (which I luckily happen to buy from). Since my purchase, it's been cleared off the shelves by self-lovin' women like myself. So, good luck with finding yourself one! For your sake, I hope demand pushes them to supply. Otherwise, you can always look to my experience with the product to neutralize the FOMO.

The ergonomic design allows you to sink into a tub with the item in hand and scrub-a-dub-dub. It's completely water resistant. It comes complete with a set of brushes, each focusing on your skin's diverse needs. My favourite is the silicone daily cleansing brush for sensitive skin, for a deep cleanse I use their exfoliating head, very rarely the ordinary daily brush, and the super fine latex sponge for applying masks which I only just recently became fond of.

The device is rechargeable and comes with a cable. It may be operated at two speeds (even though I've only used one) and rotates in any direction you choose. :)

I sometimes find myself reverting to using my bare hands and a soft flannel cloth at the end of my regimen to wipe the water away, becuase I tend to forget to reach for the thing and that makes it a difficult tool to incorpoate into my daily wash routine. I will be keeping it around my vanity table forever or for as long as it lasts, because it's especially useful for when my skin feels like it has accumulated 'debris'. The feeling seems to occur at least once a month for me. I do think that my infrequent use of the product is indicative of it's effectiveness. The gentle daily brush for sensitive skin has worked my skin's texture to the softness of a baby's bottom. This is a good purchase and worth every buck spent. It retails for about R230. My ownership of a Clicks Club Card means that my loyalty points reduced the amount to only R170! How awesome is that?!
