Last of Their Kind: Rubyboxes June-July

Last of Their Kind: Rubyboxes June-July

When the Rubies bid Mermaids* like me farewell (must have been around June July this year), I received these boxes as part of my subscription. Below are snapshots of the gems I found;

I had bucket loads of beauty products to get through thanks to my beauty product addiction, so that's why I'm only getting around to posting this now.

 June

Receiving Softlips' Pure Pomegranate Organic Lip Conditioner as part of my parcel was slightly upsetting. I signed up with Rubybox to discover something new and exciting every month, and getting the same thing in a different flavour every so often doesn't count. Boo!

*I mean, I do use it quite often and stuff - it keeps my lips moisturized, but their lack of creativity/subscription-history-checking is not on!

Rubybox's Nail It! Nail Lacquer in Pink. Nothing too special, save for the colour which is amazeballs! You'll love it if you like pink! Lasts long enough for you to get over and remove.

Hey Gorgeous Legendary Age Defying Vitamin C Moisturizer. I will hop, skip and jump for lotions that smell how smoothies should, so I found this cream easy to love. I enjoy treats from Hey Gorgeous because of the attractive packaging and the contents are never underwhelming. Go buy.

* Look out for my upcoming post on oddly flavored body lotions.

L'occitane's Savon Bonne Mere Marseille bath soap. I like it. The size is incredible for how costly the brand can be. A deeply satisfying surprise.

 July

Rubybox's My Bag of Beauty Secrets. This now carries my dental wax, tweezers, mascara, inter-dental floss and more. Very handy.

John Frieda's Frizz Ease Perfect Finish Polishing Serum. I have been incorporating this item into my wash day regimen, and post use I can't spot product's intervention. This one has got me feeling all kinds of confused. Perhaps I expect too much. #thefrizzisstillhere.

Rubybox Beauty's Va Va Voom Volume Mascara. Adds layers to my lengthy lashes hon! Pleased. Not as impressive as high-end ones though.

Mavala's Mustard Emery Boards. Again. This is yet another product that I've received twice from the Rubies. Has me feeling like I want my refund!

Azzaro's Pour Homme & Elle Fragrances. I can be two sexes at once with these. Jokes. I use them separately because I die for men's cologne as I do for perfume. When I spray pour Homme on, I feel less single. No, that's not it - the scent isn't my cup of tea because it was designed with the other sex in mind and for her is reliably fragrant.

I am so pleased with my selection that some of these are looking like empties now.

I know haven't been on the blog for a while now. It wasn't goodbye but prep for better things to come, on here and in real life. Too late to yell "Hello Spring?" Don't think so. As the year comes to a close I'm looking at ending it with Tarzan's roar and sharing my tell someone moments with you. #I'mback. I should be back on forever more now, but if my professional life keeps going the way it has for the past 8 months, I might as well say my goodbyes. "Over my dead made up body I will!"

Glossary:
*Mermaids: girls that like to play house. Girls that spend time looking at their reflection in the mirror. Girls that like to have fun.

So, stay stopping by!
